Let’s BLUE This!
– Sixth Annual NOLA Bluedoo. Saturday, September 21, 2019 – Tulane University’s Uptown Campus
This festival-style celebration of prostate cancer survivorship will raise awareness and important funds for prostate cancer research at Tulane Cancer Center.
You don’t have to walk or run to enjoy the event.
There will be pre- and after-race parties, with New Orleans-style food, drink, music, costuming, kids’ tent and other entertainment!
Approximately 1,000 guests attended last fall’s event, and 250 sponsors helped raise over $193,000 for research, bringing Bluedoo’s five-year total to $758,000!
Just as important, people had fun.
It was a joyful occasion for families and friends – supportive, loving, celebratory.
“On behalf of my research team and most importantly the patients who will benefit from our progress, please accept my deepest thanks. Having you in our corner makes us stronger and better! Please join me again this September 21 at the Sixth Annual NOLA Bluedoo!” – Dr. Oliver Sartor
One in every nine of our fathers, husbands, brothers or sons will be diagnosed with prostate cancer during his lifetime. One in 41 will die of this disease. Prostate cancer is a formidable opponent, but through research and the tireless dedication of world-renowned experts like Tulane Cancer Center’s Oliver Sartor, M.D., we are battling back, and we are making progress. You can join the fight! On Saturday, September 21, 2019, Tulane Cancer Center will host the Sixth Annual NOLA Bluedoo to benefit the prostate cancer research fund at Tulane Cancer Center.
How Can You Help?
Raise Important Research Funds
You can help raise important research funds by
1. Making a tax-deductible donation—any amount is appreciated and makes a difference
2. Becoming a sponsor of the event, or…
3. If you don’t plan to walk or run, purchasing a post-race party pass, which provides access to all post walk/run festivities, including food, drink, and music. Party passes are $25 each or $15 each for students. Those purchasing passes in advance should report to the Party Pass Tent at the venue to pick up your party pass bracelet. Students must present a valid student ID. Party passes are also available for purchase via cash, check or credit card (VISA, MC and Discover only) on race day.
You can help raise awareness by registering to participate as a walker or runner in this New Orleans Track Club Grand Prix event. Proceeds from walk/run registration fees benefit the New Orleans Track Club. Many of our prostate cancer patients cannot walk themselves. Please join us in walking for those who can’t.
Proceeds from donations, sponsorships, auctions/parade of prizes, raffles and party passes benefit Dr. Oliver Sartor’s Prostate Cancer Research Fund.
